No connection to Plex via Synology

Server Version#: DSM 6.2.2-24922 Update 4
Player Version#:

If I want to call up “http://NasIp:32400/web”, I only receive a message from the browser that the website cannot be reached.

I have already uninstalled and reinstalled Plex several times on Synology NAS. I also deleted the PLEX User and PLEX Folder.

I have exactly the same problem

Any Updates?
Is there a Plex Support Mail?

Sorry, I don’t know why I didn’t get notified but got this last notification.

PMS isn’t running? (What does Package Center show?)

I have the same issue. Synology DSM 6.2.2-24922 Update 4 on a DS1812+.

Can’t connect to Plex, process is running and it’s listening on port 32400, but it’s not reachable via browser nor via Plex apps.

Secure connections are disabled. I double-checked in the Preferences.xml file.

Updated the package to latest version (1.18.2.2058), restarted the package, same problem.

Never had any issue before, I don’t know if Update 4 of DSM broke something.

Yes, it’s running

Let’s do the first step:

  1. Sign out of Plex/web in your browser
  2. http://ip.addr.of.synology:32400/web?secure=0

See what that gives us

Same issue.

@ChuckPa, I signed out of Plex/web in google browser then typed the url and took me back to login to my Plex account. I signed in and is asking me to “Add your media to Plex. GET PLEX MEDIA SERVER” Is that normal? (see attached image).

No… not normal at all.

Did you type my example literally or did you substitute the IP address of your Synology for the address?

Typed with the correct IP address. 192.168.7.200. I’ve attached the logs for your review. Also, we have Eero as the main router and the NAS is hard wired to one of the beacons that is wirelessly meshed to the main Eero router. In case that adds any clues. 2019-12-06 - Logs.txt (5.2 KB)

You accidentally grabbed the web/player logs.
I need the Server logs ZIP file.

WiFi, when configured in “wireless isolation” mode, will block any device on from seeing the wired part of the lan. It will also block wireless devices from seeing each other (depending on isolation level).

If you have isolation ON, please turn it OFF.

Unable to access the server logs as it won’t load on the Synology DS1815+ at the moment. We don’t have Isolation Mode enabled.

Control Panel - Shared Folders

Edit the Plex share. Add your username

Stop Plex

Now drill into the Plex share (under Library) until you see Logs.

Right - Click -> Compress to Logs.zip

download and attach that ZIP please. it’s the same thing

What do you mean by drill into the Plex share? Also, I don’t see a place to “add your username” after clicking Edit for the shared Plex folder.

Control Panel - Shared Folders - Permissions tab
Click the box to give your username R/W permission.
Click OK.

Now, when you open File Station,
The Plex share will appear.

Open Library / Application Support / Plex Media Server
You will see Logs

Right - Click Logs -> Compress to Logs.zip
