DS218+ Out-of-Sync Subtitles

Player Version#: Roku 6.2.7.5442-b6554798a-Plex

I have just installed PMS on my new Synology DS-218+, and am very excited about it.

Tried to play a couple of movies, but the subs are completely out-of-sync.
I tried to play the content on my desktop PC browser player and Roku player. Both are suffering from the same symptom.

I tried to fix it by using burn subtitles (always), but didn’t work on either.

Is there a fix to this?

Thanks for your detailed response.
The subtitle file I am trying to use is perfectly in sync on VLC on my desktop. The issue only appears when playing it from my NAS on any of the Plex players.

Any advice on how to fix that?

Any suggestions on how to re-encode the video? Sorry, I’m new to this.

And do you still think a Plex pass would fix this issue?
