Hi

Can anyone tell me if or when support for Plex Media Server installed in the Synology 418j will happen.

My 412+ died and I have migrated my disks and data to the 418j, but cant seem to install Plex

Any advice would be awesome.

You are in the same position as others with the Realtek processor.

It is not supported at this time.

We are researching it now. It’s a special chip without all the traditional ARMv8 capabilities.

As I’ve stated at the top of the Synology form, there is a lot of work yet to do before it can be supported

Hi. I’m new to the forum and to Plex Pass (just paid my lifetime subscription). I recently purchased the DS418j as was not aware that it was not supported with the Plex app. This is very disappointing since this was the very reason I bought this set up. I’ve read the above feedback but haven’t seen an update since Nov 2017. Where are you guys as with creating a package to work on the DS418j? Thank you!

I will summarize to save everyone the time: There is no support for RealTek (ARMv8) processors at this time.

Is that the ARMV7 app for then Synology DS418J with the Realtek 64 Bit CPU??
