I’ve upgraded my qnap to this very well recommended was , the DS418 and i have just found out that plex doesn’t support this new realteck chips.
I have a useless plex pass account now, probably will not renew it, as i don’t have plex working for me anymore.
any advice is welcomed.
I assume since you have a NAS device, that you also have a PC or Mac? Run your server from a network connected computer for a bit to get you by until they develop for it.

Are there directions for the noobs like me in the world that are in the same boat? After mulling for over 2 years on upgrading our NAS, we get the DS418 only to find out that Plex no worky. Thanks for any and all help.
I made the announcement in this forum in November and updated it a month ago. I’m sorry you didn’t see it.
Until such time as Engineering gives me an indication, there’s nothing to report.
