DS918+, Plex Pass, Transcode Lag

Hi, since some time I have trouble with 4k transcoding. I have lag every 10s. I don’t remember have problem before 2 last weeks.

Plex Server is installed on Synology DS918+ with 8Gb RAM, I have Plex Pass so hardware transcoding is activated, when I play movie I have correctly the information (hw) for decode 4k and (hw) for encode in 1080p. The hardware si correctly used. My test video file is HEVC Main 10 HDR).

Please find here screenshoot and transcoder log. I don’t understand why I don’t have this problem for some years and now this problem appear.

Somebody have any idea for solve this ?

I have perhaps find something, when I disable HDR tone mapping in transcoding section all work fine and CPU charge is correct.

Something bad with this function ?

You say the option should be left disabled - can you confirm if disabled is the default state? I’ve just checked my Plex config and the option is there and is enabled - but it’s not something I have enabled at any point.

OK, thanks. I guess the installer(?) isn’t able to detect the host and self-configure accordingly?
