I was able to leave the “Plex” share for your use while providing a PlexMediaServer shared folder which is exclusively for PMS use (but can be accessed for Backup purposes)

Please also advise what you mean by “Fails to show content” ?

Did you forget to give System Internal User “PlexMediaServer” permission to read the media ? (as posted in the blue popup when installation completed)
