Most of my files have DTS audio only (in MKV container) and I know that’s going to transcode on XB1 with new app. However the audio is skipping a bit and popping if that makes any sense. This is wether or not the server is connected via WiFi or GigE.
And that brings me to the other oddity - I assumed that hooking my MacMini, which is the server, directly to my router via GigE then video streaming to the XB1 would be better or at least the same. For some reason when I tried this I had video stuttering along with the audio issues noted above. However I didn’t see this issue from the web client when I tried via my MacBook Pro.
When I hooked everything back up normally with the Mini on WiFi and also client if wanted, the XB1 video didn’t stutter. None of this makes any sense to me. The server being wired should be better, not worse. Ideas?
