I do appreciate the efforts of the Plex staff to bring the app to the Xbox, but there’s still bugs, ones that I expected to be gone =(
The first is the playing at the end bug, where you start a film or tv episode from the beginning, to find that it starts at the end -_-
The second is the worst for me, and that’s the stuttering with DTS… I’m really disappointed that this hasn’t been fixed after such a long time :’(
I’m hoping the arrival of Windows 10, will mean porting the Windows version, which is much, much more mature, and much less buggy!
Regarding stuttering of DTS, I would assume you are using some kind of a NAS as a server which is not powerful enough for transcoding ?
DTS audio is not playing natively on the Xbox One (this is a restriction from MS) and therefore has to be transcoded by the server.
DTS audio isn’t stuttering, its the video when DTS audio is selected. As soon as I switch to Dolby, the issue is gone. Although as I’ve said previously, it isn’t consistent, and doesn’t effect every film with a DTS soundtrack.
My server setup is the current gen i3, and I’ve tested the connection to the server via WiFi and power cable Ethernet. None of my other plex setups have this issue, and I’ve simultaneously transcoded 4 full HD streams on the i3 without any issue.
How do I access those logs? I’d really love it if the issue was finally squashed, as I’ve read in the forums, I’m not the only one experiencing it =/
