Title. How do I jump around inside a media file when using the Plex HTPC player? VLC, for example, allows arbitrary selection of playback location. I think the old Plex players did too.
HTPC doesn’t have full mouse support but, there is a bug right now that won’t allow FF or rewind for HTPC. Plex knows about it’ll be fixed in the next update
If you use a keyboard can you skip ahead 30 seconds or back 10 seconds by pushing the arrow key once?
What controller are you using? Did you have to map the remote?

.
Pressing the arrow keys on the HTPC’s keyboard does not skip or affect Plex HTPC at all when a file is playing.
Seems stupid to say, but yes, I know the keyboard’s arrows function as I’ve tested them elsewhere.
In Plex HTPC do this:
Pause playback (default: SPACE), which will show the playback controls on screen
press cursor UP once
you have now moved the focus to the progress bar
use cursor RIGHT/LEFT to navigate the playback position
Press Enter/OK if you have found the position, which resumes playback.
After the playback controls have been hidden, use the cursor Left/right keys to adjust the position, if needed.
