this plugin looked interesting so I tried to install it. from what I have read the new version 2 does not support SMB so I tried to install version 1. it seems to install ok but when I launch it I get the error (impossible to launch application)
I tried this on both my players (zappiti minis) which are basically dune tv303d's. the firmware is the latest zappiti firmware

after that I decided to try version 2, that installed no problem and I was able to configure my plex ip. seems to work ok. I see movie wall and it plays video fine (would still prefer smb) but anyway I do not see any way to view movie synopsis. it shows movie posters and it plays the movie if I hit ok or play but I don't see any way to view movie details. am I missing something is there anyway to view movie details in version 2 of emplexer?
or if not does anyone know if this will be added in a future version, also does anyone know the status of version 2 is smb version coming out soon or has development stopped for this dune plugin?
Yet, that´s what i mean, but when the authentification on the local Network is disabled you must have another Problem, on my Dune TV-303D the build works perfect.
I think in fill days i'll be able to go back to emplexer development.
If any one have some problems with v2 (like that unhadle php error) try to use the release version https://github.com/newloran2/emplexer/releases if the problem remain please send-me your emplexer2.log.

OK, nevermind, got it installed.
the use of "zip -r dune_plugin_emplexer2.zip *" while in the folder containing the Emplexer 2.0 files makes a proper plugin that the Dune plugin manager can install.
Now on to figuring out the "unhandled PHP plugin error" that's coming up :( The spoiler below contains my Emplexer2 log. Any help would be appreciated.

No help for these PHP errors? Really would like to try v2.
Also, what would cause the watched status to not update, when no setting have been changed. Both my Dune's are not updating now, and also do not resume partially watched content.
About the v2 the release version work's.
About the status update, the v1 have a bug, im same cases the emplexer stop to update the status on pms, i fixed that bug on v2.

Do you have the authentification in your local Network enabled in PLEX? Exempler cannot handle this, so you have to disable it!

Yes for now this is a problem, to solve, im pms go to setup -> connect -> show advanced and uncheck "Require authentication on local networks".

The development of emplexer is not stopped only paused due other things that demand my attention.
If not goes wrong in some days i will able to go back to emplexer development.
About the smb i'll add smb and nfs in the next releases.
The v2 for now is not production ready, i just release him to people make some tests, i strongly recommend you to use the emplexer v1, these version have some problems, but have more features and is much more stable.
Is possible to install emplexer v1 and v2 in same dune unit.

its good to hear you will continue to work on this. I am excited about it. however you mentioned in your reply to me to use version 1 for smb, however I have tried to install and use version 1 on both of my media players (zappiti mini) which is basically a dune tv303d but as I mentioned in my original post it does not work. I cannot get it to launch. I get the same error on both of my media players (impossible to launch application) I cant configure plex ip it just doesn't launch. any idea why or how to fix and get it working? as I mentioned I don't have this problem with version 2

actually just found the solution a page or 2 back in this thread... version 1 works great, looking forward to smb and movie info in version 2. thanks for this app, it works really well

I was able to get the release v2 to load and start. A Few issues:
1.Is there a way to change the view in this version. At the season level I get episode thumbnails, but with no episode title. I can't tell if my problem with the watched/unwatched status is actually working without seeing the titles.
2. the pop-up menu button does not seem to be working no matter what level I am on. Correction, it does get me to the menu while watching an episode, but nowhere else.
3. pressing the info button now gives the dune style info box and a filename box at the to of the screen. However the filename is not very informative as it has the form "http://10.0.1.5:32400/library/parts/40054/file.mkv" rather that the actual file name. Any way to change this?
4. hitting the popup menu button when viewing the episodes within a season causes the dune to restart.
I like the fact that it now has a banner view to choose TV series.
Also, after I installed the new release version 2b03, the resume function is working again on v1 ?!? Not sure what's going on there. **Correction, this worked exactly once and then back to not resuming.

To get the emplexer.log attach to your dune one usb drive or internal hdd.
In the root of that hdd make a folder named dune_plugin_logs, after that restart your dune and use normally your dune.
The emplexer.log appear /dune_plugin_logs/emplexer.log

2) pop-up button for now have no use on employer 2, maybe i add some functionality to it in one future release.
