Dune player

Hello.
I have been using Emplexer without a problem for the past 2 weeks on my dune connected to my TV. All of a sudden, I get the following error: “houve un problema ao acessar essa area, try again (401)”. I have done some research, but there were only two sites where this was ever brought up and I wasn’t able to fix it for myself using the information given there.

My plex server is setup on a seedbox with which I download and stream (streambox). As I said before, I didn’t have the issue when I first started using emplexer and I am very sure that I didn’t change any settings in Plex to have caused this problem.

Thank you for your help!

Hello, Do you use Plex pass?

No, I do not use Plex Pass

And in fact didn’t use it before (if you were thinking about the subscription expiring)

Could you try browse address http://YOUR_PLEX_IP:32400/library/sections/ from your PC (Mac)?

Yes, I have been doing that from the beginning. As I said I am using a seedbox and plex was preinstalled there. The only way I have access to it is THROUGH that link. I am able to do this on all devices except for my dune recently.

Very strange. Can I see your log file?

Of Emplexer of the dune server. Not sure where the emplexer one is located, but the one for plex, how will it help?

In the debug logs, I tried using a “plex.direct” link and access was unauthorized, could this be part of the issue?
EDIT: Looking through the logs, (“primaryServerAuthToken”: true)

I mean Emplexer log from dune

How would I go about doing that?

files.dune-hd.com/sdk/doc/html/plugins.html#redirecting_plugin_logs_to_dune_plugin_logs_folder

Will get back to you ASAP. Thank you very much for the help.

Did you try DunePlexCatalog? Does it work or the same error?

Hello.

I apologize for being away for so long, I went on a trip and wasn’t able to do this while I was away, but thank you very much for trying to help. I have installed DunePlexCatalog and when I set up all the links and ports, it gave me a result: “http://ip:port” not responding.

What I tried is type in the same link into a web browser on a device I haven’t used plex on before. And what do you know… error 401 unauthorized. What surprised me though, is if I add “/web” to the end of the link, it shows up the “sign-In” page which would be used to log in if a PC was used.

The problem now is whether I can login through DPC or emplexer, or how would I allow this connection in Plex settings…

Thanks again.

TLDR My conclusion is that plex won’t work through [ip:port], but rather requires [ip:port/web] and then to login. From my understanding emplexer or DunePlexCatalog do not have the function to login and therefore I am not able to use Plex on my DUNE.

PLEASE prove me wrong as I really do want to have this great functionality once again. Used to work but then decided to stop all of a sudden and haven’t been able to fix it since.

By the way, my Plex Media Server (or whatever it is called now) is NOT local.

Hello,
DPC has function to login (Setup → Applications → DPC Setup → Plex Login). Try it.

Thank you for the quick reply, I really appreciate it. My problem is that I cannot choose “settings” in DCP settings. Whichever button I press on it, “Enter”, “Select”, “Popup Menu”, nothing works. I have no clue as to why this is happening, maybe I need to restore my Dune or something like that. Another point to make is the format of “Setup > Applications > DCP Setup”:

Plex IP | … |
Plex Port | … |
Connections | Settings | (Which I unable to open)
Filters | Setup | (Also unable to open)
Cache Files | Manage | (Unable to open)
Design | Manage | (Unable to open)

Configuration | Save |

Thank you again for your help (no one else that could possibly help me out).

PS. I am using the latest version I can find: cr1.04
I am installing it from a USB in case that changes something

Hello! you try to use very old version.
