In 4.53.0 the duplicate badges were removed, however they still show up when filtering by things like “Studio”, “Director”, etc.
The announcement only refers to removing the badge from the movie details page – not from the library view!

Not a bug…
Hmm, if it’s not a bug I’d personally like it changed back. Season view of episodes is pretty much equivalent to Library view of Movies.
I like being able to scan over the episodes in a season and see which I’ve provided more than 1 version of. With this change I’d have to look at the details of each episode, that seems onerous.
Display your library by Episodes and filter it by Duplicates… that should give you the list of files with multiple versions in 1 go (instead of scanning through seasons)
Yea. That’s how I and my Friends and Family know there’s a Version there to select. Now, I’ll know (I created the extra Version), but none of them will know there’s another Version.
I tried to reason with Plex in that regard and all I got was crickets in return.
Looks like my Friends and Family will never know there’s another Version. Unfortunately.
Thanks for the suggestion @tom80H, helpful in one scenario, but not as much in others.
I don’t see why if it was considered useful to see the badge in the library view (which it is) that it isn’t equivalently useful in the TV Show episode view.
@JuiceWSA pointed out another use case which is true for my friends and family using my plex server as well.
Others have suggested just adding a setting to turn the badges back on. I can see how maybe some would consider it distracting, but some of us really appreciate the extra information at a glance.
