Seems I’m having a similar issue to a post previously merda 08/2020 ( Duplicate channel mapping error for two different channels - Live TV & DVR - Plex Forum) In my case I’m using Xfinity (Comcast Cable) in the San Francisco. For a number of channels there are multiple feeds, i.e. 2, 702 and 1002 corresponding to SD, HD@30 and HD@60. It seems the differentiation has been made for 2 and 702 because both are available, but when I add the definition for 1002 and select 1002 from the available channels I get the duplicate mapping error. It states that the mapping in the guide point to 1002… How can I get all 3 defined? Also, is the selection of channel 702 actually pointing to 1002? When 702 is used to record a show, is it actually using 1002?

I am having the same error happen to me with multiple channels. In my case, I have Comcast Cable in Indiana and have multiple channels that for which I am getting the same error. The problem that I an having is that I cannot have the extra HD channels even selected let alone mapped because I get the same error and am not allowed to continue my setup. It is very annoying because I don’t see what the problem is. If I can select the channel properly, why can’t I get the programming information even if the information is duplicated by Comcast? Very, very, very annoying.

Thanks for reporting this

I can see that channels 702 and 1002 look the same for Plex Media Server - so giving rise to the error

I am raising this with the development team.

For now, decide on which one you will use HD@60 or HD@30 and map either 702 or 1002 and leave the other one deselected

I can see that the lineup has 236 channels with duplicate internal identifiers - so it is not just the 2, 702, 1002

I would like to see what the HD@30 and HD@60 channels look like from the tuner channel list

Normally for HD Homerun, it would be request like this

http://ip-of-dvr/lineup.json
that returns the list of channels

Could you try that and if it works - copy the output to text file and attach it
If it does not work, will need server debug logs during DVR setup to see what the request url is

I suspect that the reason you are having difficulties in completing the setup because there are 80 channels or more with duplicate entries

I tried an Indiana zip code and I got 3 different Comcast lineups - with 667, 881 and 1017 channels. The 667 one has 80 channels with duplicates - so one would need to ensure each of these have only one mapped channel

I am discussing this with the development team
