When adding movies, I’ve got the ‘scan on detected change’ enabled.
Ever so often I’m getting duplicate movies, this seems to happen regardless if it’s stored on my local RAID or one of my network NAS.
I just Plex Danced a movie, put it back and scanned - one entry. Just a minute or two later, there was dual entries.
I then removed the “scan on change”, did another Plex Dance - manual scan, and now only one entry in the database. Currently I’ve set to scan libraries every 15th minute, as a ‘quick fix’.
Have anyone got a solution to this problem? Scan on change have always worked fine and to be honest is the best feature.
I have a similar problem too, from a while. I keep updating server to newer versions but I see that the problem is not fixed yet.
I will post here some examples:
After running for some 2 weeks now even with scan on change removed, i still get the occasional double. But it’s a lot less frequent than from before.
I’ve not managed to see any clear pattern. It could be something with having the movie before, and now it’s been added again? But really at a loss.
I download through Radarr which means that i download on a different hard drive, which isn’t even the Plex archive. So the movie is only copied to the archive once fully downloaded and ready.
I do have this problem recently. It is extremely annoying. This happen even for folder that exist for years that never exhibit such issue till last few weeks. Seems to be a bug.
