Duplicate Plex entry for one file

This seems to happen randomly to some files and not others, I do have “Scan my library automatically” enabled and this usually happens during huge uploads to my plex library (75gb+, 50 files+).
Is there a way to fix this without moving the file, deleting one of the entries, and adding the file back? Also is there a way to prevent this?
As a little context, the underlying filesystem is BTRFS with CoW (Copy on Write) enabled if that has anything to do with it.

The easiest way to resolve this is to Plex Dance the movie.

While you do lose the watch history for it, PMS completely removes both entries from the DB and then creates one entry when you re-add the movie back into your library.

It’s a rare race condition. Engineering knows what’s happening but not been able to pinpoint where in the code so it can be fixed permanently.
