Duplicate Library When Share with users

Even though I only have the single server, deleting it and re-adding it is the fix? The solution makes it sound like there is a rogue (secondary/ghost) type of server floating around, along with the main one. Or maybe I’m reading that wrong.

Did you sign out of the server first (making it unclaimed), delete it and then go back into Plex and it will say it found a server on the network… then re-claim it and all is well in the universe?

My big fear is that I have about 30 people that pull from my Plex server. If I sign out of the server, delete it and go back to reclaim it… will all those people need to go back to plex.tv/link and re-associate their accounts with my reclaimed server or will they be non the wiser during these few minutes?

Exactly - sounds scary, but it works and all your shares are still there which was my big worry

Carried out those steps but when I signed out of Plex (leaving it unclaimed)… and went into settings → devices … there was no server listed, just players. Since I only have the 1 server, I didn’t see it. So I re-claimed my server and it popped back in there.

The only way I can think to do this is NOT signing out of my server and just going straight into settings → devices and nuking my only server that way.

Still think it will work?

This defo works - although you don’t need to rename the server

I stayed signed in and tried deleting my server. After an hour, it was still deleting. I’m positive it was hopelessly screwed up at this point so I just stopped the service, deleted all the directories and reinstalled Plex and started with a fresh database. My duplicate problem is solved but it was a scorched earth type of reset. :frowning: Oh well.

Still no fix from Plex on this? I also have the same problem. It’s can’t be a fix to delete the server and add it again. Are there any officials in the forums here that can shed some light on this issue?
