I encounter a very strange issue with some Photo libraries. Till now I had only one Photo library in Plex. I decided to create two additional ones (as there is no way to narrow rights inside libraries themselves). These two additional sections are well created and I could add some photos in it as the first one, and I can access them easily through the different clients I use.
Then I decided to update rights of users of my PMS so some of these users can access some/all/none of these photo libraries. But when I go to edit right of a user, these two new photo libraries appear in double in list !! I changed of browser, restarted PMS, even the Linux server, but nothing to do !! Still appears in double all the time and whatever user I select !!
What to do ? Don’t tell me I have to delete and recreate these two libraries…
PMS: 1.13.6.5339
I’m migrating a windows server to a ubuntu server. I had to recreate new library and i have the same problem with the share, I see my 3 new library twice for each. PLex version 1.13.5.5332 on ubuntu 18.04LTS
Thanks for the trick but not really an acceptable solution as unpairing server from account means you are loosing all shares setup in server which is out of question for mine (too many users shared on it !).
Plex guys ??
Be careful, never do that, whatever you say, all shares have disappeared on all accounts shared in mine !! accounts are still listed but when you edit details they have no share at all !!
I currently have the same issue. It happened after I decided to reinstall my server without decoupling it first. I then added a new server under the same name and as a result all the libraries are double in the sharing section. Also I didn’t bother backing up my database data, perhaps using that functionality might have prevented this. This happens on Ubuntu server 18.04.1.
I tried all of the above and none of them worked . I ended up deleting the library and re-creating it. I also noticed the same library that was duplicated was also unable to update the posters for the movies. I did not need to delete the files just the Library itself.
