I added the new season of the show i’m watching and it recognized correctly in the show collection but also made a duplicate outside the show. How can i fix this?

It’s probably not a duplicate. This is just the ‘Recently Added TV Shows’ hub.
Go into your ‘tv shows’ library to see if it is really appearing twice in there.
