Hi all.
I have my library on my MacBook’s iTunes, which I do copy over to my NAS (Synology) with rsync. So far so good.
The thing is, I discovered (at least) one album which seems to be “double”.
Now, on iTunes I see it as one album, not two. The thing is, that in the “unknown” one, there’s only track 13 of that album:
So I tried to clear and re-write the MP3 tags with xAct but it didn’t help: iTunes still shows it correctly under the same album, Plex does not.
Any suggestions on how to solve this?
Thanks,
Flavio.
You must verify that all tracks of this album have identical
‘Album Artist’ (this is not the same as ‘Artist’)
and
‘Album Title’
meta tags.
There must be also ‘track number’ tags present in all files.
All tracks of one particular album must be stored within one common folder on disk.
Once you have made sure about that, either
perform the Plex Dance light (omit step 4)
or simply ‘merge’ the two albums in Plex.

Thanks Otto - the Plex Dance solved this issue.
