Recently accepted and added the new sync tool for program matching. Since then, duplicates are no longer identified. Duplicate movies or tv shows are added as another entry in the library, rather than displaying as one show with two matching files…
anyone else seen this or found a solution?
Do you mean the new agents? Did you refresh metadata for libraries?
Yes, the new agents… And yes, I have refreshed the metadata for all libraries… It used to be I’d add a movie file and, if it was matched to an existing movie, the duplicate filter view would show the movie with a ‘2’ in the top left corner of the movie poster. now, they don’t display as a duplicate, but as two movies with the same poster, info, etc…
view the media xml info for two of the movies that should be duplicates and look at GUID that should be in the top section of it.
Most likely you did not start (or didn’t let finish) the “Refresh Metadata” procedure of the whole library. Which is absolutely necessary after changing the metadata agent.
I reran the metadata refresh and let it run overnight (very large library)… This morning, duplicates are indeed being identified. Thank you
