Duplicating NAS Libraries to NVIDIA Shield for offline use

I have a Synology NAS running my home PMS, and I also have a 16GB NVIDIA Shield that I take with us when we travel. I do not always have the best connection to stream our PMS from the Synolgy NAS remotely. I have spent a lot of time getting my album artwork and collections perfect and I want to duplicate my home PMS on the NVIDIA Shield so that we can use when we are in remote places with little to no wifi. Is there an easy way to duplicate my libraries from the NAS to the NVIDIA Shield without going through and doing all the collections and artwork editing all over again?

I am running the NVIDIA Shield with an external 4TB WD Hard drive with the appdata for the NVIDIA Shield on the external hard drive.

I’m pretty sure you’ll have to sync data to your Shield vs setting up the server portion. Servers currently require network connectivity and local Plex apps with sync’d content do not…

It looks as though you may be correct on the network for the server (though I may play around with this… https://www.howtogeek.com/303282/how-to-use-plex-media-server-without-internet-access/amp/) Wondering if Kodi may be a better choice for offline use and what I am eventually looking to do for road trips.
