you may have different DVDs than the ones thetvdb is using ( they are using the "volume" dvds not "season" ones) those movies are in the "specials" season according to thetvdb
( this is my first time screwing around with this sort of thing so i certainly might have made a mistake somewhere )
Ah, no, that was not checked. Sorry, didn't know to look there. I just checked it, and am trying a Force Refresh of the library. If that doesn't work, I'll remove and re-add the library. I'll report back when I have results.
Edit: This fixed it! Sorry, I didn't check that before.
This is probably a stupid question. I placed the .bundle file into my user profile's Plug-ins folder, then restarted the server. However, I don't see the DVD Order option under 'match using'. What am I missing?
Edit - yep, that was a stupid question. I hadn't copied the Contents folder, and Plex was therefore confused.
I have read ever message on all 13 pages several times and have tried many of the suggestions all without success. I am at the point to believe that this is not as simple as some are claiming it to be. So, some background. I am running PMS 2.1.12 on a Windows 7 PC. I have the DVD Order Agent unzipped and in the plugin folder. Sure seems simple enough to me. However, after server restarts, rescans, etc. I am not seeing any changes what so every.
Here are a couple of examples. I have a file called "The Fairly OddParents - S01E01-E02 - The Big Problem". What I get in PMS are two episodes. The Big Problem (which is Episode 1) and Power Mad (which is episode 2). However both are the same physical file. What I am expecting from DVD Order is to combine these into a single reference in PMS so that it would show it something like this "The Big Problem / Power Mad). Am I wrong and that this is NOT what this bundle is for? If this is what it will do then what is missing from the set up as simple copying it to the plugin folder is not all it takes it seems.
If I go into the config I do see the TVDVD order item but only see 2 options, both checked, and no local media option as indicated in one of the post on the past 13 pages. If it were not for so many saying that it works I would simply consider it a worthless plugin that was all hype and no features but with so many stating it works for them I have to believe it is user error on my part but beats me what it is.
1) 2.1.12 is the web interface version not the server version. click the word Server on the top right of the settings to see your server version.
2) neither the dvd order agent nor the regular agent will combine them into a single listing. ( that is not what either agent is for). it is used because the order of the episodes for some shows like Firefly was aired very differently than the order that was sold on dvd. the dvd version being the "final" version that the story makes sense in. but by default plex and the tvdb use the aired order
3) you can use mkvtools to split the file into two. which will be better for you in the long run. if you can understand these directions on how to make a sample file you should be able to figure out how to split the episodes. you will need to know the time stamp of the file that one episode ends and the next begins https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/201035968-Generating-Sample-Files-from-Media
4) for it to include the local media asset you need the updated version i uploaded a few posts above yours
2. Then may appear confused by this as some, even with the Firefly example, suggested/implied this is what they were after /could be done.
3. Yes, I am fully aware of how to split, merge, alter, enhance, etc video files and have many tools for the job. I may be left to that option but seems to me that a better was would already be apart of PMS.
4. Been there done that and yet it fails to work. Yours was one of the many postings I referenced that I tried without success. But as that will not give me what it is I am looking for in the e3nd, I guess it no longer matters.
I guess I am on my own and trying to get the solution needed.
Ok So I have gone though this whole fourm and I still can't get this thing to work. Im running server 0.9.9.7 and I have the agent installed and running. But it still wont orginize my Ranma1/2 season 2 correctly. It's killing me. anybody have any ideas? Also I have ran the agent on my series and it wont work. I'm one sad Panda.....

This may seem like a silly question, but does TheTVDB have a different DVD order to the Aired order? If it doesn't, then the agent can't reorder them because as far as it knows, the ordering is correct.

It does not seem that the dvd order disc/episode number have been entered on the tvdb for that show. except for season 1
Hmm, while the plugin appears to be working, I can't get Futurama seasons 5+ to work. Season 5 is supposed to the the four movies but instead it's the titles from season 6. Any ideas?
Did you manage to fix it? I'm having the exact same problem. Season 5 and 6 are not matched correctly, and the second part of the season 7 has dates instead of titles.

plex uses the tvdb for show orders not wikipedia and the dvds they use are "volume" dvds not "Season" ones.
so the second half of what you referecne as season 7 in dvd order is disk 8, so you need to name them as if they are season 8 when using the dvd order agent. else put every thing in manually
Futurama S07E17 in aired order is Futurama S08E01 in dvd order ( the "volume" dvds)

Thanks. Finally my OCD is smiling. One last thing: for some reason, second episode of specials (The Beast with a Billion Backs) is recognized as the third episode of specials (The Lost Adventure) and I can't manually fix it, because there is no 'split' option. They're both named correctly:
for some reason your screen shot is not showing for me but.. that is wierd it seems to think those are both the name episode. Since they are mp4s is it possible some embedded metadata might be screwing it up?
