DVD Order Agent

This is exactly what I need, but I’m using Windows for my server. Plus one for a windows version.

For folks with the Windows or Linux PMS versions who can’t use the .plexapp installer, I’ve attached a zipped copy of the standard .bundle file.

  1. Unzip the file

  2. Copy the “DVD Order Agent.bundle” to your Plex Media Server’s “Plug-ins” directory (same place you’ll find framework.bundle, system.bundle, etc.)

(Windows users can right-click their PMS in the system tray and “Open Plug-ins Folder” to get to the right place.)

This is working for me with Firefly, but not Battlestar Galactica (1978). I have the episodes listed as S01e01 through s01e21, yet only 1-18 shows up. I am Having a similar problem with The New Batman Adventures, where episode 11 doesn’t want to show up. Any ideas? I read something about DVD orders with multiple episode parts. BSG for instance has episode 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3. I am not sure if that is causing the problem.

I am not sure what changed, but after some playing around, BSG is not showing all episodes properly. I can not say the same of a few other shows.

Andy Richter Controls the Universe

Batman The Animated Series

The New Batman Adventures

These shows are all still having problems. For some reason it is mismatching episodes and doubling up on some. I tried adding episodes one by one to “The New Batman Adventures” to see if I could narrow down the problem. When I add s01e04, it shows up as episode six. I have no idea why. I have no idea why this is happening. Is there a way to check if I have the newest version of the plugin?

This works, but if you’ve got your eps numberd and named to match DVD order then you’re hosed. It would appear that the only guidfing data used by Plex is the episode number.

It would be nice if it could scrape the metadata\xml folder those of us who also use MyMovies or MediaBrowser have available…

Do we need a new bundle/plug in for 0.9.5, or can we use the existing one?

Or is DVD Order hidden away in 0.9.5 somewhere?

SC

Why don’t make this plugin included in official releases (I feel lucky to have found this post, it solved my problem)? I find it very useful and it works (until now I have no issues) with the latest Plex Media Center (v0.9.5); after a season was matched and loaded it was enough to right-click on it and select “Match using -> TheTVDBdvdorder” (I had not to change any other setting).

Thanks again.

Under 9.5 the DVD Order is now matching Firefly to a similarly named Anime, but when I unmatch and do standard matching it finds Whedon’s Firefly, but with the airing order mis-match. Quandary!

I found this “bug”. The DVD-order scraper can’t download TV show themes from Plex online DB. I tried with One Piece and when I saw it’s in TV themes DB I tried to match using standard TVDB scraper. At the end I got the theme that unfortunately disappeared matching again with TVDBdvdorder. Maybe just a little fix, however a great work again.

Bye.

under Plex 0.9.5, using this plugin, it is matching Undeclared with Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations. i have even re-numbered my files to match the air-date thinking this would help. nope.

FYI, the .plexapp version didn’t install for me on 0.9.5.2. Had to revert to the bundled version.

DVDOrder agent, latest from first post, installed into PMS on linux, seems to be working on Firefly except… thetvdb lists the movie Serenity as a Special, so I put it in there named accordingly, but it has no DVD-order number, so this agent doesn’t match it. I saw an earlier message saying it was going to handle episodes with no dvd order “better” but don’t know in what way.

I hope someone can help with this…

I’ve unzipped DVD Order Agent into my plugins folder on my qnap.

However, no such agent appears when I right-click the TV Show for ordering (in this case it’s Firefly).

I’m somewhat of a noob, so I’d like to know if there is something I need to do to activate the plug-in (the wiki didn’t seem to have any info).

Thanks

BL.

Ah…found my error…I had put the DVD Order Agent in the wrong Plug-in directory. It should go into the plug-in directory that has Library in the path, not Resources.

I think I did the same thing, I just ended up running the installer. However that doesn’t work if you aren’t using OS X.

SC

Okay. Can someone please tell me how you install the .plexapp file? I see several posts of “I used the installer”… what installer? I have OSX Lion, and I can’t run the .plexapp file, cant open it with Plex, or Plex Media Server… and when I put the .plexapp file in the Plugins folder, nothing happens. I tried the .zip file as well that had the .bundle in it, which at least gave me the menu option… but the plugin didnt do anything… so I’m thinking it’s for Windows or an older version or something else

But seriously, I cant find any reference to how to install a .plexapp file in PMS anywhere. What am I missing here?

That's funny, I'm in the same boat and found this thread today, too - and the .bundle version isn't working right for me either... at least it's taking ages without ever matching anything :(

EDIT:
Weird, now it did work - the same way 110hs described it. But only on the third or fourth try...
Anyway, great work, Raindancing =)

To anyone that can’t get the .bundle working - just fixed this. I had copied it over as root, but your plex user (for me, unraid-plex) should own and be able to use the files, so I just did a recursive chown on them. It now shows up and, presumably, works.

Took me all of 2 minutes to put in, and it works great. Fixed Firefly beautifully.

Thank you Sooooo much.

Can you please help me?

As shown in the attached screenshot, the option to enable the agent is disabled.

How can I enable the agent?

I’m using PMS on Windows 7.

Thanks.
