DVR and Live tv with hdhomerun connect

Are there users of the DVR with live tv function that use the hdhomerun connect as a tuner among you?
If so, I would like to have your opinions, is it working well?
Thank you

That is what i use and it works fine. The guide gui is a whole different issue as the lack of live tv playback from the xbox client. So i use my pc to set what i want to record and the hdhomerun app if i want to watch live tv on the xbox. Both are scheduled updates with plex, just dont know when they will have them released. From my ipads our remote the plex app works great.

Sometimes due to the guide as it stands, finding what you want to record can be a bit tricky.

I have HDHomeRun Connect Quattro with plex, xbox and android. Typically use the live tv on the rokus. Xbox and Android have there own app.

agree with @Mdhwoods1 about using web to set up recordings.

The latest release of plex seems to be pixelated and stutters. Here is my post on that…

I own 3 HDHomeRun tuners, a Prime (with CableCard), a Dual and I recently bought a Connect that is being fed by a powered HD-OTA antenna in my attic.

I recently removed the Dual because I didn’t really need more than 5 tuners and it only worked with unencrypted cable.

The Prime has been my workhorse for sure. I can record anything I can watch on my Frontier (FiOS) service.

The connect is my latest. It works and I plan on using it more and perhaps buying an Extend or another Connect because it is my intention to cut the cord, making my Prime useless.

They all “work”, but the Silicon Dust TV app works better for live TV, partially due to the MUCH better EPG. Also, Plex seems to have no way to specify or even know (without physically looking at the tuners) what tuner is in use for live TV or DVR functionality.

It is perfect, but as long as I don’t try to get to fancy it seems to work…
