Is there a link to the larger thread that was referenced? I have been having this issues for a bit and thought it might be the commskip integration… But after disabling it I still didn’t get shows…
If it is an EPG issue there isn’t anything I can do but wait for a fix. Hopefully sooner than later
ALso seeing the same issues here… It seems to consistently miss NCIS, MacGyver, Grey’s Anatomy and Big Bang Theory. I’m going to try and grab the log files on Tuesday night close to when NCIS should start recording before the logs roll over and I lose them.
DustSt0rm, I have taken the same approach in terms of waiting for a fix. I recently became a software engineer and we are working on a huge project to replace a commercial product with our own solution. It is a difficult and lengthy process. These guys will figure it out soon. As users of the software, we need to provide them with as much information as we can about the issues so they can fix them.
About the only thing that you can do is to disable automatic updating of the program guide in scheduled tasks and and do it manually from DVR settings when needed instead of every day. Once a week should do it for now until this issue is fixed. I hope that on a future release they allow us schedule these updates with more time between them then either once a day or 4 times a day. Both are excessive and really not required.
I have 2 Nvidia boxes in addition to my Plex server so I have been re-running the recordings in parallel. My observation is that if anything changes on the guide for the television show in the guide it will disable the recording. MacGyver for example, updated its menu artwork for that show. I experience a very similar problem with S.W.A.T first started airing. The guide could not discern the difference between the new and old show. It took a a month before the DVR would start working on that show.
Just my observation, I have 0 programming skills.
I am also having this issue. Many new episodes of show (such as Big Bang Theory, The Goldbergs, etc) are not being recorded. While some other new shows (such as LA to Vegas, Good Girls, etc) are being recorded. I have log files saved but not sure what to do with them. Any solutions coming up?
