I don’t know exactly here to post this, but I’ve frequently run into an issue where I have a scheduled DVR tv show, and it fails for some unknown reason - with no indication anywhere about why or even that it failed at all… (first problem) I only know that it failed because when I go into the show to watch the next episode, I see an episode number missing…
Then, I search and try to add the episode that failed, only to have the ability to UPDATE my existing scheduled recording for that show to allow “new and repeat recordings.”
I don’t want to immediately start re-recording all the repeat episodes of my show (from all previous seasons) - I just want to record the ONE that failed and is re-airing the next day/week.
- It would be nice to somewhere within plex (and plex for apple tv), to know why a show failed it’s scheduled recording.
- It seems logical to allow a new recording of a single episode, instead of forcing us to change the existing scheduled recording.
- It would be nice for PLEX to know when a recording fails, and try to record the same episode later if it airs again, so I don’t have to recognize that it failed, find the missing episode, and change my existing schedule, etc etc
