DVR guide refresh stuck at 0%, and Unable to delete DVR

There was a post about this a couple of years ago (Unable to Delete DVR) that seemed to go unanswered. I have been trying to deal with my Guide constantly sitting in a refresh state “Refreshing guide data (0%) - Initializing”. I’m unable to cancel the refresh, and considering I rarely, if ever, use the DVR, I was planning to just delete it. But that also doesn’t seem possible.

I’ve tried restarting the Plex container, unplugging the HDHomeRun, and I’m just left with a server that is trying to refresh a guide for a tuner that’s unplugged, while trying to delete the DVR…

I too am having the same issue. New to Plex dvr and as a resent HDHomerun user I managed to connect HDHomerun to Plex and watch live tv but unable to record anything.I thought I’d remove the dvr and try again as the installation had some issues. No success with removing the dvr!!

Anyone? Not only do I just want to stop seeing this thing spinning ALL THE TIME, but I’d like to completely remove the DVR, which also doesn’t work.

Stop Plex
Find and delete files that start with tv.plex.providers.epg.cloud*
Restart Plex and delete the DVR

If the DVR won’t delete you have corruption in the main database but you should review the ‘Plex Media Server.log’ to verify.

FYI, after deleting those files (in PlexMediaServer\Library\Application Support\Plex Media Server\Plug-in Support\Databases for future reference), and restarting Plex, the DVR no longer shows up. This isn’t an issue in my case, as I wanted to remove the DVR anyway.
