I’ve been struggling with this since mid-December, which is the last time my Plex DVR managed to record anything. Steps I’ve tried:
Remove DVR and re-add it
Select different channels and refresh
Deleting the database contents where Tuner information is stored
Uninstall and reinstall Plex Media Server
In the end, it’s always the same results. After adding the “new” DVR, the program guide populates. I check it 12-24 hours later, and it looks like this:
If the epg refresh process or the server crashes while refreshing the EPG this will happen. First thing to try is stop Plex Media Server and delete the 3 tv.plex.providers.epg.cloud* files, then restart and refresh the EPG. Watch the Plex Media Server.log to see if the EPG refreshes successfully.
Check through the logs to see if you see any Crash or SQLITE3 messages with database disk image is malformed.
I can’t find the guide I followed to do it, but it was where the DVR tuners are, not the EPG. At that time, the problem was after removing the DVR/Tuners, Plex wouldn’t see them again. By clearing the data in that table, they were discoverable again and I was able to configure them.
Unfortunately, the core issue existed before I did this, and the behavior has been the same after. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled DVR’s, PMS, etc. and it’s always the same:
Add DVR’s and select channels
Choose EPG
Program guide populates.
Season passes have programs scheduled to record. Everything looks good - can tune in live channels, etc.
Check again in 12-24 hours, no programs in DVR queue and the guide looks as pictured above. Cannot tune live channels, absolutely nothing for Live TV & DVR works.
