I am currently using a HDHR Prime with a cable card. My specific issue, i set a DVR event to record all the New York Yankee games. I am noticing 2 things:
First is that it is recording the same game when it airs twice or more times in the same day. With the Yankees, they are broadcasted on the YES network and they show the game multiple times. Today (4/3/2019) for example, it recorded the game when it was on live from 4:00pm-7:00pm. Then it airs it again today at 10:30pm-1:30am and it has added that to the record schedule despite it already being recorded and is currently in my library. I do have it set to record only “New Airings”.
Second, is that it is creating a new “Show” for each recording of the Yankee games. I’ve recorded 3 so far, so i have 3 shows all called “MLB Baseball” then it shows an individual game for each one, rather than them all being in the “MLB Baseball” show as different episodes.
I am doing some post-processing after recordings but only to remove commercials, not converting the file in any way. I found that anytime i converted the show, it would lose association with the initial recording and not be recognized that it was actually recorded.
Please advise.
