DVR: Non-guide based recordings

Coming from mythtv, which is pretty powerful but can also be complex, I’ve been largely satisfied with the DVR functionality of Plex. One thing that I miss, however, is being able to schedule things based on criteria rather than finding a specific show within the guide.

Some examples:

1. I want to record all NFL football games. I can’t just say record all shows that have NFL in the title.

2. I want to record highly rated movies. I can’t just say record movies with a high rating

3. I want to record an older show, but only if it’s being broadcast in its original HD resolution. I can’t just say HD only.

I was a mythtv user too with a lot of advanced rules for instance recording only if title like “%titke%” or season number >= x and more…
I really miss those possibilities

Could you please add the ability to record shows automatically by keyword, as per eyeTV smart recordings. Using rules to combine different requirements to be met, such as recording any show that contains “Cycling” and only record one of the shows, preferably the HD version, if there are multiple copies of the same show playing on different channels at the same time. thanks
