Just bought a Plex Pass (Lifetime) and disappointed to learn that Plex can’t record by keyword (e.g. record ‘The British Open’ once a year) and can’t limit space for recordings. I’m thought I might be able to retire my Windows box with Media Center, but Plex is nowhere near as convenient to use.
It’s disappointing to have to use advanced settings to set up a series recording because Plex won’t delete old shows automatically to make space to record new ones. Seems like there is feature request after feature request for both these things going back to 2016.
Hopefully some day this will happen so I can remove the pc from my home theater and have my Linux server record all the tv I watch.
Other than that Plex is a great value and well worth the money spent for a lifetime Plex Pass.
