Sorry to say that I regret getting a Plex Pass, when the free version worked well enough. I can’t use the DVR because I would like to record shows by Keyword, and that feature is nonexistent , which is disappointing. Otherwise your software is great, but I have to cobble together MythTV and then run a script so that Plex can read those files. Too many moving parts and just a hassle. I’m a former user of Windows Media Center and am just looking for the basic features that it had. I could care less about podcasts, streaming live tv or Tidal. How about making something more focused and elegant. Been a few years of a disappointment. Discontinuing the community plugins was also a poor choice for me, since I could integrate my HDHomerun tuners and then do what I wanted Plex to do. Now it’s just a poor DVR that doesn’t come close to TiVo or WMC. Seems like you guys have no real ambition to work on this since many have asked. I guess you already have my money, so good for you, but I’ll have to keep looking for better software, when Plex is/was close to what I was hoping it would do. It’s a pain to only be able to pick a program from the EPG in the next two weeks when more mature software have keyword recording as a basic feature.
BTW turning on Closed captioning on TS files used to crash the client on Android TV, but now it just doesn’t work at all. If I remember correctly, it’s broken on my Apple TV as well.
It would be great if these things would be fixed/added, but the developers’ focus seems to be elsewhere.
