I recently set up the DVR feature comprised of a HDHomeRun Prime w/ CableCard on my Media Server that is running on a dedicated Mac Mini. For the most part it’s running well, however every so often when recording a movie, just as the recording ends, there’s an error. It will show in my DVR “Recording Schedule” as 100% complete, it’s wont transfer to my library, and you can’t edit any of the recording setting. It’s just stick in this limbo. It will also be in the"recording priority" section and say “no upcoming airing.” Sometimes I can delete it from the recording “recording priority” and this will remove it from being stuck in “Recording Schedule.” Sometime, hours after the end of the recording it will just appear in my library, but not always. I appreciate any ideas the community has on this. Thanks!
See if it’s related to this thread…
If so, you will need to roll back to a release of PMS prior to 1.7.x

Thanks, but I don’t think this is the issue I’m having.
I did more investigating and it seems to happen when recording a SD show on an HD channel and the DVR setting is to only record HD shows. While the recording is “in limbo” if I change it to any quality, the show seems to load into my library.
@hf995
Welp I tried.
Sounds like a newer one you should post logs next time you have it happen. If you can list specific steps to reproduce please do that as well.

The issue has not happened yet today, so fingers crossed that is was just a fluke of my server’s “growing pains.”

Looks like I spoke too soon… It happened again. Here are some screen shots:
As you can see recording were set to end at 1pm and the time on top is 1:09pm and it’s still there now. When you click in to the show, you see the recording percentage is over 100%. When I try and “cancel” the recordings, I get the two error “Code -1001” or “Code 500”.
It just happened in the course of a normal recording.
Thanks for any help!
I’m pretty sure this is the same over 100% issue we are seeing in the thread I linked. I think you’ll either have to downgrade as a workaround to a release prior to 1.7.x or wait for the devs to issue a fix. I’m stuck on 1.6.1 for what looks to be the same reason. Lots of people struggling with this one. Hopefully, they’ll look at your logs as well.

Okay, I’ll give that a shot. Would you happen to know where I can find a download for Plex Server 1.6.1 for mac? Do you happen to know if any major features will be lost between versions? Lastly, will I loose all my scheduled recording data? Thanks for all your help, I really appreciate it!
See my post on page 3 of the thread linked to above for how to download prior versions. Going back to 1.6.1 you will lose Live TV. Scheduled recordings will still be there.

Thanks! Not getting much out of live TV at them moment anyway. Not useful for me until it’s can be case or FireTV support is available.
Any tips on best way to uninstall old server?
While on the topic, do you know anything about Version 1.8.1.4139-c789b3fbb that seems to be available at https://www.plex.tv/downloads/ ? Any word about that addressing this issue?
Haven’t done a lot with Mac OS but thought you just drug the application to the trash.

That’s what I was going to do but then I cam across this on the support page:
https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/201941078
Seem to involve a lot manual of removal of folders from “~/Library/” and nothing about trashing the application itself. However, at the top it says"
“Warning!: Following the instructions below will completely remove your Plex Media Server, including all Library metadata, viewstates, etc. If you simply want to install a different version, you can just run the new installer.”
Perhaps if I just try and the install it will replace or at least trash the application icon and run it and see.
either way, @johnm_ColaSC I really appreciate your help. I’m quite the novice and this have been helpful!

After some hiccups and requiring a total removal of Version 1.7, I installed PMS 1.6.1. Besides loosing “Live TV” function on iOS, looks like I also lost the “Program Guide” on iOS w/ PMS 1.6.1. I uninstalled and re-installed the app on all my iOS devices with no luck. Is this just bad luck for me or is Program Guide" not supported on iOS with PMS 1.6.1?
1.6.1 did not support Live TV. Live TV first came out with 1.7.2.

I understand that but, it does not even support the ability to see shows that are available to record and/or DVR management (w/o the ability to watch live)?
Correct they both came at the same time.

What a cruel world…I can set up and manage recordings that fail w/ iOS with 1.7 or I can have a functional DVR but only access DVR management via a web interface.
