Hi there,
my recordings fail sporadically.
But if you quickly delete the start of the recording 1-2 times and repeat it, it works.
I have the feeling that the timing of the tuning is too tight here. In other DVB tools I have seen that a timeout of up to 2000 (TVheadend std 50ms is faulty) - 4000 (DVBViewer) ms is set and it works reliably.

How long is the timeout at plex?

Might as well get used to sporadic failures. They’ve happened for years and never been addressed. What’s worse is they disappear from the schedule log so you don’t even know they’ve failed if you don’t watch closely. You just notice it when all of a sudden you’re like … wait where is this random episode?

Have you tried deleting all of the files in the codecs folder? In three years of Plex OTA recording I’ve been pretty solid expect for two instances where I would get failures when recording multiple shows concurrently. In both cases deleting the codec files resolved the problem for me.

The codec folder is a subdirectory of the Plex data directory. (I’m running on a Linux server, not a NAS, so yours will be in a different location than mine.) I typically stop the Plex Server service, delete the files in the codec folder (not the folder itself), and then start Plex Server. Plex will re-download the codecs as needed.

Ok, so this is from my Synology NAS (DSM6)

this is windows (test-VM)
