I keep having a problem on some dvr recordings where the video is pixilated and corrupt. Sometimes the program will be 30 minutes into the recording, then all of a sudden, it starts pixilating and the sound is broken up. Most recordings work fine, even recording in the same time slot as the corrupt recording.
I have recorded the same program, at the same time on another dvr that uses the same antenna and there is no sign of corruption at all, the only difference is that it has it’s own built in tuner. I have a filter on the SiliconDust tuner to block out interference, whereas the other dvr has none. Is there a way to upload a video to show what it is doing?
Any suggestions as to what causes this?

Recording via Plex gives pixelated errors that won’t play on some clients…and all clients show issues with the recording. Recording the same show via mythtv show no issues.
No, I haven’t had anyone else comment or post any suggestions. 2 thiings I am sure of, it is not interference from cell phone tower as my other dvr recorded the same program without any pixilation, the other thing I’m sure of is it is not my signal strength as it is 100 on both strength and quality. I have noticed that if I try to watch a program that is recording, and I start it at the beginning and skip commercials, it ruins the rest of the recording from that point forward.
I’m using a CableCard in my HDHR, so I’m pretty sure it’s not a signal quality issue.
I set up Channels DVR on the same hardware this weekend, and had zero issues with any of the recordings - so it definitely seems like something Plex is doing corrupts the files.
I just don’t know where to go from here. You can’t open a support case with Plex - even if you’re a paying customer.
Yes, I feel like I have narrowed it down to the plex app. I have noticed that it only happens on recordings on channels that are 720 or higher resolution, never had a problem with the 480 resolution. I am running Plex on a Intel I5 processor gen 4 so I don’t know if that could be the problem or not.
Same thing is happening for me as well, started roughly a week ago… random pixelated video, portions of shows chopped off, etc. May be a coincidence, but the timing of this issue seems concurrent with a recent Windows Server update, version 1.40.2.8312. Experienced no DVR issues before that.
