So I have been trying to record some stuff to see if I have all the problems ironed out of my server before all my shows come back in a few weeks. When I try and watch something that is recorded it goes between normal and HEAVILY pixelated. But I don’t have any problems when I watch something live on TV. I have a HDHomeRun DVR Quatro and my server is on Ubuntu 18.04LTS and has the newest beta of Plex. Any ideas on what could be causing this? It happens on all that is recorded and it didn’t do this before.
I’m having the same issue running plex on Synology within a Dell R710. Any ideas?
I found my issue. The server was trying to transcode the file as it was recording it. This caused the high pixelated file and awful audio.
