I am trying to watch recorded content from Plex on my TVs which are hooked up via nVidia Sheilds and Amazon FireSticks (4K model). When I open the DVR recordings section I can see that the Item is there “SHOW NAME (NEW)” but it is does not opening anything. The button looks selectable and clickable, the screen will flicker after clicked, but then comes right back to the same place.
If I open DVR recordings through the Plex client on my Windows 10 PC it will play just fine.
On my PC the item shows a play button which is missing from firestick/shield clients.
Same issue here with the FireStick, recorded content when accessed through DVR Schedule does not play. When selected it returns to the screen as if you have not selected anything. It does play correctly when I access the recorded content by using TV Shows. Works properly with Windows Client.
In my case this seemed to have fixed itself. Maybe an update installed or something. Not sure, a few days later it just worked. Admittedly, I don’t record nor do I watch too much live/recorded tv.
