I noticed a couple of weeks ago that my recordings of the Magnum P.I. reboot were incorrectly matched as Magnum P.I. (1980) in the Plex Media Player UI. Tonight I discovered that this makes sense given that the recordings are actually going into the (1980) folder. I’m not even sure where to go to debug this. Where do I start?
MacGyver and Hawaii Five-O have had the same problem in the past (maybe still?). Probably have to contact Gracenote and complain to them. It’s probably Plex messing something up but since the developers don’t respond here perhaps Gracenote has a back channel communication path or else the clout to make them listen.

In any event, now that I know this much, perhaps there’s something I can find. In retrospect it’s odd that I couldn’t find this answer given that it’s clearly given in the support site.
