Magnum PI--wrong series

The past couple of weeks, when I go into my Recorded TV library and look at the Magnum PI that I recorded, it has the season/episode number correct but Plex is showing me the episode name and description from the 1980 series.

But when I go into the Plex app, into Live TV & DVR, the recording history shows the correct, current series episode name.

Clearly Gracenote has it correct; what is Plex doing to ignore Gracenote’s metadata and use the old series info instead?

I have no issue, is the show named like the following.

I had the same issue and had to manually match it. Is seems Plex isn’t considering the year difference between the shows.

I went back into the entire show library and saw that the whole library had been mismatched. It must have happened sometime within the past three weeks.

I didn’t have to custom match; I just had to rematch and tell it to use TheTVDB, and it fixed itself.

So the Gracenote data are good, but something went wonky in the library. Huh.
