DVR Schedule - Plex often late to record scheduled program recordings

About 50% of the time, Plex is late to record scheduled program recordings. The recordings are set to start 5 minutes before airing and end 5 minutes after airing. Doesn’t matter. Often whatever program I got set to record, Plex misses the first 5 to 10 minutes of it. Plex has been unreliable for scheduled DVR recordings for some time.

You can set a early stat or delay in your tunner settings.

Go to Live TV & DVR in on your manage tab,
Then go to DVR Settings.
Where it says Minutes before Start, Minutes after Start, fill in numbers.
So input 10, and recording will start 10 minutes before scheudled time

I stated that I’ve set early start and delayed ending for the recordings.

It’s at it again. Tonight’s recording started 20 minutes late. Worthless.

Plex isn’t designed for the server go to sleep, prevent that and it will operate as intended.

I am also experiencing this behavior. It seems to happen when recording 3 episodes of the same show back to back on the same channel. The first and last episodes both get the pre and post padding, but the middle one does not get any at all.

Seriously… They can’t wake the machine to do a recording on time?

Still broke. PLEX absolutely will not record on time. Always late and worthless.
