DVR schedule view not updating with new or cancelled recordings

hi,

I added tv show “continuum” to record tonight in the guide, but it is not showing to record in the schedule view. I also cancelled all “transformers” recordings, but these are still showing as will be recorded in the schedule. it seems the schedule view is not being updated… two screen shots attached.

update: continuum did not record! and still showing as no upcoming shows in schedule but guide shows its airing every night.. any ideas?

I am experiencing the same problem with almost all of my shows. When i click on an episode it even shows that this episode is scheuduled to record. but it doesnt actually record it.

I’ve been experiencing this problem as well. Added wrinkle - initially some, but not all, of my recordings were showing as scheduled. But they have all disappeared before the episodes aired. Almost 2 weeks of missed recordings now since upgrading to 1.7.2.3878.

I have had the same issue with all my recordings set to record new episodes only. Now I’m starting to think Plex is thinking those shows are older episodes and not new episodes.

I have my recording set to new and already aired, so don’t think that’s causing my problem

I never see more than 37 shows. With 165 channels its hard for me to think that’s all of them. Not to mention this one comes up in the guide but doesn’t list episodes. Also missing some local news shows.

Question- Is there a limit on EPG data that Plex can acquire or save?

I have mine set to record new airings only. This issue only seems to impact HD recordings - at least for me. SD entries are available in the EPG and can be scheduled. But the HD entries do not seem to exist in the EPG, and therefore never appear on the schedule. Is any of this feedback helping any of the developers?

The “Continuum” series has long since been canceled . Therefore it might be worth double checking that it isn’t set to “New Airings Only”.

Sometimes guide data is a likely issue. For example, I setup a series recording for “iZombie” in Plex DVR and the first airing disappear out of the recording scheduled. On a Microsoft Media Center system the same episode of iZombie was missing from the full featured, full screen guide. It just said “to be determined”. This guide data in Media Center was coming from Rovi which is really quite bad compared to Zap2it.

For what its worth, it seems that sometimes Plex DVR will have proper guide data for a given SD channel but not its HD channel congruent (and vice versa). So you can try changing the recording parameters.

EPG updated but then shows disappeared 3 days later. I’m seeing a lot of “longpoll error, closing” along with other things errors and warnings
