About 2 weekends ok I installed the latest large Windows 10 update (May '19 version) and also a new Plex server update. My EPG appeared to corrupt after this and so I tried removing the DVR and tried setting it up again but cannot find the tuner.
I have since discovered on the forums many more recent issues with DVR EPG and the change of providers from Gracenote to ‘???’ and drop of EPG for Australia which affects me in Melbourne. Advanced warning via email or a blog post would have been appreciated. I purchased my lifetime Plex pass purely for the advertised DVR support as a replacement for Windows Media Centre so this is quite the bummer and I hope Plex provides a better solution than a 3 month IceTV trial once the dust settles.
My main issue is that I am unable to proceed beyond this screen:
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers for my Hauppauge WinTV HVR 2200 dual tuner PCIe card installed in the PC running PMS and rebooting Windows. Still no joy.
Can you please assist me with getting the tuner added again so that I can explore my available EPG options? Which log files do I need to check and upload?
No I don’t have that one sorry.
(I have Confirm your Plex account, Welcome to Plex Pass, then your reply notification).
Most of the updates I get are via their blog RSS feed.
I have installed an older version which has allowed me to find and remove my tuner from Plex. I suspect from here on I will be able to set it up again once I work out which XML provider to try.
Sorry to say that Plex stopped supporting EPG for Australian customers after 1-July with v 1.16+ versions of PMS.
You either need to downgrade to v 1.15.... or use an alternative method to provide the EPG. There is a whole thread on it here.
Good luck. Beyond this, I cannot help as I am in the UK. For what its worth, countries that do still have a Plex EPG are also suffering because most of the information is missing or wrong (incl. USA customers).
Hey,
I also cant help much as i am in the UK, however this is what i had to do to get my tuner found having needed to delete the old config…
I will agree it doesn’t help much on the guide data, but at least gets your tuner back configured…
Uninstall Plex
Reinstall a previous version
Add the tuner, (you cannot complete this step because the guide data source has changed), this seems to allow Plex to correctly see the tuner in the next steps…
Upgrade to current version
Add the tuner - this time everything works OK.
All of my config/films/tv/ recording schedule was held over from my previous install - but its probably worth taking a backup just in case
I tried with my own postcode too and take forever spin and nothing happen I will try again tonight after work.
I update from version 1.16.0.1226 for my Nas to the latest 1.16.1.1291 since lost my HDHomerun live tv and DVR. Trying to reinstall but no luck I get stuck at this stage from the picture. Would you recommend to uninstall the app for the Nas drive and reinstall start from fresh.
Sorry HDHomerun yes is fund for live tv on shield and tablet. So is clearly Plex buggso I will remove the app from my Nas and install again tonight and give a go
This might sound bizarre, but please try installing v 1.15.8.1198 first. I have 2 PMS servers running, the line on 1.15.8.1198 is still picking up Gracenote…
Ok all back to normal. What I did I deleted the app from my Nas drive I put back to original first software and put the new version, work all good only think not back to normal is on my shield I can’t get the TV guide but I may delete cache and data could fix it after it.
Thanks a lot for your help
