DVR will not record marked new tv show

Server Version#: 1.17.0.1841

This is beating a dead horse so many times. Again your live tv dvr is refusing to set itself up to record a NEW show. Want to record the NEW episode of south park. It shows NEW at 10pm. Comedy Central is saying NEW episode tonight. Plex refuses to activate the recording. I deleted the recording and did just this episode. Refused. Tried all new. Refused. Cant do all episodes due to conflict of reruns. All I ask is to add a manual record option. How many times do I have to ask for it. This simple option can help resolve issues like this since you still have this weird bug I told you about before.

Ok moderators. New issue. You went to Tivo for guide date. I left Tivo for bad data. They do not mark new shows as new. Emergence and Treadstone are marked as repeats. I missed Emergence yesterday due to your fault for going to Tivo for guide data. You are responsible and will respond in 24 hours.

It would help me if you gave me the lineup, channel number and channel name

Further to my earlier reply … It appears you are running on an old version of Plex Media Server - version 1.17.0.1841-d42cfa161

As from version 1.18.0.1906 we introduced scheduled daily full guide refresh as part of scheduled tasks. The most likely cause of your problem is that it was a change to the new indicator that did not get picked up because the guide data was not completely updated

Please update to the latest public release 1.18.0.1944-f2cae8d6b and do a manual full guide refresh through server settings. After this, if you have not disabled the guide refresh in scheduled tasks, it will be updated every day

I updated as you requested. It shows new. I will monitor every week for status.

If you lose recordings when the “New” is seen to be there, please get some server logs at time of start of the episode and also after the end time

Run with debug logging enabled - see https://support.plex.tv/articles/201643703-reporting-issues-with-plex-media-server/

and to capture logs see
