Newbie question on LiveTV+DVR: what is really needed?

Hi everyone! I was looking into the LiveTV + DVR function of Plex and I was wondering what was needed from the tuner itself. So if I get Plex Pass and buy a silicon dust HomeRun Connect Duo with an antenna:

1. Do I need to conduct any configuration from HomeRun or is all done from Plex?
2. I see that HomeRun charges for a DVR service. Do I need to pay for that in order to have DVR or does Plex takes care of all this?
3. If Plex takes care of this, I assume we can also tell the tuner from the Plex interface to save all files into the Plex server itself (in my case a Mac).

Let me know on the above as I couldn’t find any concrete answers on this so far.

1. Apart from connecting the wires, no.
2. No need to pay extra. EPG data are included with the Plex Pass.
3. That’s how it works. The Plex server is doing the recording. The tuner is only receiving the broadcast and forwarding the data stream to the server.
