I asked this here the other day and it was moved to Roku, I think because the example I has showed the Roku device…
I issue is that Ubuntu 16.04 running PMS Version Version 1.12.2.4929
wont play videos with EAC3 audio
I also have a Windows 7 running PMS Version 1.12.1.4885 which works correctly…
From what I have been able to figure out is that the Windows version transcodes the video and the audio is delt with by the EasyAudioEncoder
Ubuntu version 1.12.2.4929 send it all to the transcoder… and it just sits there waiting for something to happen…

Just downgraded one of my Ubuntu servers to plexmediaserver_1.12.1.4885
It’s still acting the same way…
edit;
deleted the codec directory and reinstalled 1.12.1
that recreated the codec directory but without the EasyAudioEncoder
running the video again and EasyAudioEncoder-141-linux-ubuntu-x86_64 was downloaded
but it doesn’t run it… just the Plex Transcoder shows and the video waits forever…
This is for all devices I have tried, Roku, Chrome Browser…
And they did all work before and I’m pretty sure that they all worked on Ubuntu PMS 1.12.1 before the upgrade.
so now I’m trying to figure out what changed between the two versions on Ubuntu 16.04,
