EAE timeout is back!

Thanks for your help getting this working again Chuck, with the value now set to 131072 I will have loads of headroom I am guessing? would it be better to reduce to 98304? rather than eat u RAM for no reason?

Last question then haha, was it just pot luck using the value 77004 worked for a while then stopped working again? using the new value should make sure the issue doesn’t return?

Thanks for all your help mate, you are a life saver!

To share what’s happening.

Each slot, used or not, used 540 bytes of memory.

131072 slots allocates 70.778 MB of memory into the kernel. (which is noise)

As a slot is used, it’s path & inode number are added to the table (average = 256 bytes)

Also noticed a few of these in the console since restart and the new script

“BaseIndexFrameFileManager: transcoder exited abnormally”

“BaseIndexFrameFileManager: expected 2786 images, but found 987”

“BaseIndexFrameFileManager: expected 867 images, but found 347”

Anything to be worried about?

No idea about what the transcoder was looking at. I suspect it was comparing the header info against what it found.

I would figure out which file that is and either remux or handbrake it to fix the frame counts.

Oh is that just the thumb nail previous that plex gives when skipping/scanning through the media?
So nothing important like metadata ie: movie covers or posters etc?

Think this is the transcode issue after looking deeper " IntroDetector: Failed to transcode file (1): /volume2/video/TV Series/Doctor Who (2005)/Season 0/Doctor Who (2005) S00E156.mkv"

That would be one to check out. It should never fail intro detection

Checked the episode in question, it doesnt have an intro just starts straight away and never cuts to an intro so maybe plex got confused looking for one?

Found this error aswell:- MDE: unable to find a working transcode profile for video stream

up to you at this point as to what to do.

It barked but the file plays otherwise.

Do you want an intro? – obtain another copy / re-rip / DVR it again.
