Easiest way to switch to SNAP version?

Now that Ubuntu won’t install .deb packages with the GUI I was thinking about switching my server over to the snap version of Plex. Is this something I should do or should even care about doing? I don’t care about issuing a command line now and again I was just curious about the long-term implications of snap.

If this is a good idea what are the ramifications and will I have to rebuild my entire database? Basically will I have to start over? Thanks for any input.

SNAP is a container without the ability to reference storage outside the container like Docker.

Your only choice is to start over.

IMHO, you lose far more than you might gain by using SNAP packages.

Best choice is to setup the Plex repo updating and let Ubuntu update Plex automatically.
