Downgrade snap install to resolve iOS image bug?

Server Version#:latest/stable/1.21.0.3616-d87012962 (snap/ubuntu20.04/esxi)
Player Version#:ios/atv/firefox

Hi, is there a way to downgrade a snap install to a previous release of server? This is a new install so I don’t have any previous snapshots. If not, is there a better way to do this with my windows box?

I just purchased plex pass for the ios paywall stuff, but but found that the image uploads feature is - for the foreseeable future - broken (argh, should’ve researched before dropping more than a hundo on lifetime). Apparently previous versions aren’t broken in this way.

Thanks,
Dave

SNAPs are Ubuntu’s containers and are not as robust as Docker.

You’re far better off with the native package (which keeps code & data separate).

It may be worth seeing if there’s anything Canonical can do it make it more robust. Also they would likely appreciate submissions of code to help improve Snaps.

As the containerisation of the snaps system will really help system security, so may be worth working on helping them sort out.

Thanks for that but it won’t help the OP in the desired time frame.
In this case, the OP’s problem is not related to SNAPS per se.
My issue with SNAPs, as a developer are in the best way for users to enjoy PMS on Ubuntu systems, is that SNAPs are too restrictive for applications like PMS which require hardware access.
