Easy Encoder Error (13)

I/m running Plex Media Server in a docker container on TRUENAS Scale24.10.2.4. I have Watchtower running to update the image. i have therefore been on the latest Media Server version above since it came out. All of a sudden i came to watch a some content one morning and i noticed the transcoding was failing and when i dug deeper i noticed it was the Audio it was trying to transcode and failing.

going into the shell i noticed every time i try to transcode a file the Easy Encoder fails to execute with error 13.

now i have searched and searched and everyone seems to say delete the folder and plex will re download after a PMS restart on next Transcode attempt. It indeed does this but doesnt fix the issue.

I equally have tried amending the permissions chmod +x -R EasyEncoder***

every time i try it just crashes saying it couldn’t transcode and in the docker bash i get the error 13 again.

You set the transcoder temp to /run ?

Error 13 is Permission Denied.

The default permissions for /run is usually 755 meaning non-root users have no write permission.

so i rebooted the host and had some other issues i ended up deleting the container and rebuilding to fix a few other little issues and so this is no longer an issue.
