Hi I can no longer edit any items in my library as the pen icon has disappeared off the poster’s and the 3 dot icon has only download and get info in it now when before there was a list of half a dozen items can someone please tell me what I’ve done to create this situation. Thanks in advance
Click on the poster
then try to edit the item from its ‘preplay screen’
That doesn’t work either the edit icon is not on the upper bar like it usually is everything was working fine yesterday.
You could try your luck with this procedure.
Also make sure to not use the old decrepit Internet Explorer. Get Chrome or Firefox.
Make sure you don’t use any web browser extensions which block parts of a website (AdBlock, ScriptBlockm uBlock etc pp).
That doesn’t work either but I have noticed that I have I have two servers that I can access one being my laptop and I can edit this media fine and a local host where all of my media is and this is the media I can’t edit.
Did you rename the server to ‘localhost’?

As you can see the edit pen is not in the top right hand corner where it usually is.

Hold down the Ctrl key and press the minus key a few times. I am guessing you have zoomed the display so that the other tools are now appearing under the More button (three dots). Screenshot showing same server/library item in different browsers, one zoomed which forced other options to be moved under the More button.
Tried that but made no difference there are only 2 items under the more button Download and Get info all the other items are no longer there.

What Plex Media Server version are you running?

I’m on a local Mac mini: Version 1.4.2.3400 Plex Pass channel
I just removed 1.12.0 from my laptop test PMS and installed the 1.4.3 version and do not have the edit link. 1.4.3 is what the Shield ships with. You might want to login to your Google Play account and update the Plex Media Server to the current release.
